Japie
Japie is our inspiring and humble leader and the founder of FTC, who captivates the hearts of those around him. He models servant leadership, following in the footsteps of Jesus, and is admired for his grace and love in all situations. Japie’s passion for helping people extends beyond his role as a counsellor, as he mentors men and guides them towards becoming their best selves. Japie, the optometrist with a Ph.D., not only helps you see clearly but also helps you see yourself as a beloved child of God. He leads with the Father’s heart, calling out sonship from his office and church family. Japie’s energy and vitality are contagious, and he starts every day with a 5am gym session before juggling his various responsibilities as a ministry captain, optometrist, family man, and elder in his church. Spending time with God is his primary source of energy and strength, enabling him to navigate life’s pressures with greater resilience and intent. Japie is happily married to his beautiful wife, Fransie. Japie is a yes man with a can-do attitude and a level-headed approach. He excels at calming the verbal processors around him and extends his understanding to make them feel heard, helping them walk away with ordered thoughts and peace. Japie is highly respected by his team and anyone fortunate enough to know him personally, thanks to his wisdom, integrity, and compassionate leadership style.
Fransie
Meet Fransie, the dynamic second-in-command at the Family Transformation Centre.
Fransie, an intentional and informed counsellor, is like a compass, guiding you through the rough waters of life. With her guidance, you’ll find your true north, and embrace your identity in Christ.
Her great passion lies in helping individuals discover and embrace their true identity, break free from past traumas, and step into their destinies in Christ. She finds joy in equipping and empowering others by teaching and training them. With her optometry degree, she has a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of how the mind and body are interconnected. She’s also a proud grandma and unashamed and submissive partner in the spiritual battle alongside her loving husband, Japie. Where Fransie really shines after office hours, is in the kitchen – she’s a force to be reckoned with and believes that food should be a visual feast. In her free time, she enjoys DIY projects, running in the forest or going on hikes with her family and friends. Fransie’s joy comes from the Lord and she loves nothing more than having a good belly laugh with the people in her life. To her, laughter is the best medicine. When it comes to reading, Fransie is a true bookworm – the kind who reads three books at once! Her passion and excitement for life are truly contagious. Fransie and Japie run our Reset Your Marriage course and are available to present it at your church.
Toinette
Toinette may look like a Barbie, but don’t let her petite stature fool you. This dynamite bundle is a spiritual warrior who can do some serious damage to the enemy. As the founder of the Art of Womanhood Course, she is passionate about helping women become the best spouses they can be, making a maximum impact on their marriages and families. Toinette is also the founder of The Dream course for high school girls, where she helps prepare these young wonder women for their future. Toinette has her own blog where she inspires women to pursue their dreams and reach their full potential. Apart from counselling and running these courses, she is available for speaking events where she empowers and motivates women to become their best selves. Toinette’s teaching degree is an asset in her mission to spread a message of hope. This proud wife and mother of two godly men, has a love for creative expression. Whether she’s crocheting a jersey, undertaking a DIY project, or trying out a new art form, Toinette always finds joy in bringing her ideas to life. When Toinette sees someone who needs prayer, she cannot resist the urge to intervene right away. Any spot is the perfect spot for her to pray up a storm. Toinette may be small, but she possesses great strength through the power of the Holy Spirit. So don’t underestimate her!
Janice
Meet Janice, the office operations assistant who thrives in high-pressure corporate
environments where she has honed her ability to manage tasks efficiently. Despite her career success, Janice is a fun-loving, easy-going person who enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, particularly on walks or at the beach.
A passionate cook, Janice believes in the power of food to bring people together and has even turned this passion into a part-time home cooking business. Family remains her top priority, and she loves making meaningful memories with them. Recently, Janice transitioned from the fast-paced corporate world to a more relaxed lifestyle, giving her the opportunity to focus on family, personal growth, and meaningful connections – all while still nurturing her professional ambitions.
Marlize
Meet Marlize, the creative problem solver who works with kids and youth at FTC. With a degree in Applied Art and Communication, Marlize knows just how to use creativity and purposeful communication in counselling to help young people heal. She’s a straight-forward communicator who isn’t afraid to tackle tough issues head-on. Marlize has almost a decade of counselling experience and has volunteered for 4 years at a teenage neuro clinic facilitating “healing through art” group sessions. Her involvement with young people has given her extensive understanding of the challenges they face in this generation. She enjoys taking on new adventures, whether it’s hiking, trying out outdoor sporting activities or walking her much loved dog. She’s on a mission to equip young people with the life skill tools they need to conquer mental health and other challenges. She encourages her clients to take on the world with confidence and Jesus by their side, so that they will reach their full potential from a position of inner peace.
Shaun
Mzukisi, also known as Shaun, is a wise warrior. This loving dad runs the course, The World Needs a Father, as he wants to see healing and bring understanding in a fatherless generation. He runs the Gold leadership program in schools with his wife Daneel, which aims to empower young people with leadership skills and instil in them a sense of self-worth. Shaun is a firm believer in the power of the Word of God and is actively involved in his church’s preaching team, where he shares his wisdom and knowledge with great passion. Shaun aspires to play an active role in fostering reconciliation in South Africa, with a vision to witness a brighter and more equitable future for his beloved country. Shaun also has a slight obsession and love for lamb and would love to have his own farm with sheep at some point. Shaun is a dedicated advocate for family restoration and community development through God’s principles. He is a master trainer for the World Needs a Father course and a presenter in George. With a diploma in business management and accreditation as a facilitator, moderator, and assessor, Shaun has been instrumental in training teachers, professionals, and learners to promote positive change in schools and the broader community. His passion for improving people’s lives through biblical life skills is inspirational.
Frikkie
Frikkie is a valuable member of our team, bringing a wealth of experience and insight to our counselling services with his degree in Theology. Having served as a pastor for many years, Frikkie has a deep understanding of the complexities of human relationships and the challenges that people face in their spiritual journeys. Together with his wife Anne-Marie, Frikkie provides a safe and supportive space for couples and individuals to explore their issues and find practical solutions. Frikkie, the AI language model within our team, never runs out of words and is always ready to assist us in any way possible. He’s the go-to guy for all things language-related. Frikkie is also a talented writer and blogger, using his gift for storytelling to inspire and uplift others with the Word of God. When he’s not counselling or writing, Frikkie enjoys spending time in nature, or equipping himself with new creative technology skills. With his easy-going nature and quick wit, Frikkie is a joy to be around and helps to create a warm and friendly atmosphere in our office.
Anne-Marie
Anne-Marie is a resourceful and stylish woman with a gentle but strong inner strength and a deep love for her family. She has a natural flair for design and creativity, which is evident not only in her cooking but also in her own clothing label, Est.Her. Her label combines timeless elegance with unique wearable designs made from linen, lace, and leather. When she’s not working on her timeless fashion endeavours, Anne-Marie works alongside her husband, Frikkie, counselling couples and providing guidance and support. She is a great listener and always willing to offer wisdom and insight, making her a valuable advisor and prayer partner to those around her. Anne-Marie has a dream to establish a workshop where she can use her love of sewing to train up women, while also providing guidance and discipleship to help them become the best versions of themselves that God has called them to be. She has a way of calling out the beauty and gifts in those she encounters.
Angelé
Meet Angelé, one of the passionate facilitators of our Journey 2 Freedom course. She carries a deep desire to see people set free from bondage, addiction, trauma, and lies – walking fully in their identity and victory in Christ. Her own journey of freedom, after years of generational strongholds, gives her message authenticity and power. Angele’s life was transformed at FTC after attending a Victory Weekend and Freedom in Christ course, and she’s never looked back.
Angele brings maturity, warmth, and faithfulness to everything she does. She’s deeply moved by the love of Jesus for the broken and lost, and she believes that true transformation begins with knowing the truth and building on Christ, our firm foundation.
In her free time, Angele finds joy in God’s creation, whether trail running, hiking, or simply admiring a mountain or flower. She’s creative at heart – she enjoys drawing and recently discovered a passion for painting. With her gentle boldness and Spirit-led conviction, Angele brings courage, hope, and restoration to those around her.
Kathy
Kathy is a truly remarkable person. She brings a wealth of life experience and a compassionate heart to our counselling team, making her an invaluable asset to our ministry. Despite facing her own emotional struggles, Kathy has found the strength to overcome them and emerge victorious. Through her journey, she has gained invaluable wisdom and understanding that she now shares generously with those who need it most. In addition to her work as a counsellor, Kathy is also a gifted artist, using her talent for painting to express her innermost thoughts and feelings. Her art is a reflection of her soul and life journey with Jesus, and it is truly inspiring to see how she has used it to heal and grow. Kathy is also a devoted wife and grandmother, and her family is the center of her world. With her kind heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering faith, Kathy is a true blessing to all who know her.
Daneel
Daneel is a woman of great passion and dedication to helping young people discover their purpose and reach their full potential. Daneel is Shaun’s wife and a hands-on mother to their daughters. She plays a vital role in leading the youth facilitators of the Gold Programme, which presents life skills training sessions to high school students. Her extensive experience in youth ministry, combined with her natural talent for connecting with young people, makes her an invaluable asset to the FTC team. Beyond her work with the youth, Daneel is known in the office as the best hugger around. Her hugs are comforting, safe, and have a healing effect on anyone who receives them.
Daneel finds joy in a variety of creative pursuits. From experimenting with different hairstyles on her daughters to baking delicious treats with them, she values quality time spent with her family. Daneel’s love for music and singing is evident, and she enjoys expressing herself through various crafts such as knitting, sewing, and upcycling. She also enjoys taking leisurely walks with her loved ones, taking in the beauty of nature and the company of those closest to her.
Chrismaré
Chrismare is one of our passionate counsellors, a trauma course leader, and a co-founder of The Dream course. She lives and breathes counselling: it’s not just what she does, it’s who she is. With a calm presence, a kind heart, and deep wisdom, she helps create safe spaces where healing and breakthrough can happen. Chrismare carries the unmistakable joy of the Lord, and her gentle strength makes others feel seen, heard, and understood.
She’s known for her ability to speak truth with love, never shying away from the hard stuff but always wrapping it in compassion and grace. Her life is one of surrender and obedience, marked by “dove eyes”; a laser-like focus on the presence and leading of the Holy Spirit.
Outside of ministry, Chrismare is a devoted wife and loving mother who partners with her husband in business and life. She’s also known for her effortless style and ability to mix faith, wisdom, and fashion advice in one conversation. Anchored in truth and on fire for God, Chrismare brings light and hope to everyone she meets.
Jana
Jana is the heartbeat behind the scenes at Family Transformation Centre George. As our Office Manager, she ensures everything runs smoothly—from coordinating courses and managing social media to overseeing finances and front office operations.
With an Honours Degree in Business Administration, Jana brings sharp organisational skills and calm efficiency to the team. But what truly sets her apart is her approachable nature, her big heart, and her passion for growth, both personally and in ministry.
When she’s not holding the fort at FTC, you’ll find Jana planning her next road trip, dreaming of new places to explore. She’s already ticked off China from her travel list and can’t wait to add more! A true animal lover, she shares her home with a beloved dog and two cats, and has a soft spot for just about every furry friend she meets.
